Brazilian legendary defender Thiago Silva hailed Neymar Jr for being mentally strong despite all the criticisms the latter has been facing in his life.

In an interview, Silva even went on to say that had Messi faced those kinds of criticisms that Neymar faced, he would have quit. The former PSG and Chelsea defender also said that there is no player in the world who has the characteristics of Neymar.
“I simply don’t understand many things. If you look at Neymar’s side of the field, everything he does, he makes it look so simple. It’s very difficult to do everything he does. There is no player in the world who has the characteristics, the quality he has.”
“He is very strong mentally. I saw an interview with Messi. If Messi had faced all the criticism that Neymar has faced throughout his career, Messi would’ve quit.
Thiago has a point. When Neymar was in Santos, it was expected that the teenage sensation at the time might dethrone Messi and Ronaldo to be the next best in the world. After joining Barcelona, he became even more dangerous with the lethal MSN (Messi, Suarez, and Neymar) trio, and many times, he even outperformed Lionel Messi.
