Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have married at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The news was confirmed by Swift’s publicist on Friday. Giant screens outside the arena lit up with the message “JUST&T MARRIED!”
The couple got engaged in August last year. Fans had been waiting for details about the wedding ever since.
Actor Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. He is a friend of the couple and appeared in the Happy Gilmore sequel with Kelce last year. He also performed his own song at the ceremony. Swift had previously said Sandler’s character in Happy Gilmore inspired her song Wi$h Li$t.
Swift and Kelce wore wedding looks created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They were designed by Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Dior. Swift’s publicist said this was Anderson’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and Swift wore Cartier jewellery.
Swift did not have a traditional maid of honour. She chose her brother Austin as her man of honour. Travis’s brother Jason Kelce was best man. Swift had no bridesmaids and Travis had no groomsmen.
Around 1,000 guests were reportedly invited. Attendees included Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Hugh Grant, Gracie Abrams, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellie Goulding, Graham Norton, Dakota Johnson and Steven Spielberg. Other rumoured names included Sabrina Carpenter, Jennifer Lawrence, Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks.
Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks performed at the event. Swift walked down the aisle to one of her songs played on strings. The couple brought their own vows.
The venue was transformed into a garden setting. Decor was described as “Alice in Wonderland meets The Wizard of Oz.” Guests said the night was incredible. They cried, laughed, danced, hugged and kissed. Madison Square Garden was chosen partly because the interior could not be photographed by paparazzi or drones.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Tie the Knot in Lavish Madison Square Garden Wedding
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were married at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday. The wedding was a large celebration with around 1,000 guests.
Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. Swift’s brother Austin was her “man of honour” and Kelce’s brother Jason was the best man. The couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen.
Multiple streets near the arena were closed to traffic. Some pedestrians were also kept away from the area. Guests included actors Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke and Jason Sudeikis, musician Benson Boone, former soccer player Abby Wambach and NFL player Cooper Kupp.
AMC CEO Adam Aron posted details of the wedding on X but later deleted the post. He said the venue had a “lush countryside retreat” look with artificial trees. He said Kelce wore a white tuxedo and Swift wore a white wedding dress with a long veiled train. He noted that despite the large guest count, the wedding felt intimate.
Prince William appeared on Kelce’s podcast “New Heights” in a pre-recorded episode published hours before the wedding.
The wedding cost an estimated $20 million. Police presence and traffic enforcement may have cost up to $10 million. This cost might fall on New York City taxpayers or could be covered by the couple.

Taylor Swift’s Best Friend Abigail Anderson Wears Matching Dress With Another Wedding Guest
Abigail Anderson Berard, Taylor Swift’s best friend since high school, wore the same dress as another guest at Swift’s wedding. The dress was a chocolate brown Sau Lee “Frances Gown” with a corset top embroidered with magnolia flowers. It retailed for $795 and had sold out quickly online.
The other guest was Laura Kruk, the fiancée of former NFL player JuJu Smith-Schuster. Both women wore the same gown but styled it differently. Kruk paired hers with a green Lady Dior bag. Anderson wore clear heels and a gold clutch.

Swift had previously served as a bridesmaid at Anderson’s first wedding. Anderson was married to photographer Matt Lucier from 2017 to 2021. Swift wore a burgundy dress and carried Anderson’s bridal train. Anderson is now married to Charles Berard, a chief technology officer.
