This is where Tiger Woods earns his stripes as one of the all-time greats. The 47-year-old has been the World No.1 Men’s Golfer 11 times for a total of a whopping 623 weeks (nearly 12 years). He also holds the record for the longest reign on top as well, as Woods was No.1 from June 12, 2005, to October 20, 2010, for a total of 283 weeks.
Compared to that, Rory McIlroy’s numbers look tiny, but impressive nonetheless. McIlroy, in his nine reigns at the top, has been the World No.1 for a total of 122 weeks. He was also the No.1 for the most weeks in the 2010s, a solid 94 weeks.

Here, we will start with Rory McIlroy, who has had a solid 37 tournament wins in his professional career. Most of his wins came in the early-to-mid 2010s, when he ruled the roost in golf. Majors Won
The US Open, The Open, the PGA Championship, and the Masters are four of the biggest golf tournaments in a calendar year. These tournaments are called the majors, and winning even one is a dream for every aspiring golfer.
