WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is being moved to a new venue. The change comes because of attacks in the region around Saudi Arabia. Riyadh Season confirmed the move on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The event will still happen. In a statement, Riyadh Season said all ticket holders will get a full refund. Tickets will go back on sale to everyone within 48 hours. It did not say if the event will stay in Saudi Arabia or move to another country.
Crown Jewel was set for the temporary Riyadh Season Stadium at KAFD. PWInsider.com reported the event will still be in Riyadh, just at a different place in the city. WWE has used other Riyadh venues before, like Mohammed Abdo Arena, Kingdom Arena and King Fahd Sports City Stadium. USA TODAY Sports reached out to WWE for more details.
The move is tied to the conflict between Saudis and Iran-aligned Houthis from nearby Yemen. Recent attacks include strikes on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. People have died. Riyadh is the city where WWE planned to hold Crown Jewel. The U.S. State Department has issued travel advisories for the country. The U.S. Embassy is telling Americans in the region to be extra careful.
Other sports have been affected too. The “Six Kings Slam” tennis event was set for October. It featured Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. It has been pushed to Dec. 27–30. Organisers cited “organisational and logistical challenges” after reviewing the situation.
Safety concerns have led Middle East experts and many wrestling fans to ask WWE to rethink holding a big event in the region. Ari Emanuel is CEO of TKO Group Holdings, WWE’s parent company. He told Fox News on Oct. 22 that the company has backup plans. He said they are watching the situation every day. He said a whole team is working on it and on where they could move the event if needed.
Crown Jewel is still set for Saturday, Nov. 7. Riyadh is also set to host WrestleMania 43 in April 2027. That is the biggest wrestling event in the world. No official venue or date has been announced yet.
