Rishabh Pant Shares Brutal Scar From His Accident: Dec 30 2022 was a shocking day for Indian cricket. India’s first-choice keeper Rishabh Pant suffered a terrifying car crash while returning home for New Year. For a crash at over 100 km/h, Pant was lucky to come out of it with no life-altering injury. Now one year on from the crash, Rishabh has walked the path of recovery for a long time. He has now shared the scar left from his various surgeries.
Thinking og that crash, it is no wonder that the Delhi-based keeper has not played any cricket in the last few years. But his recovery at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has been well documented. From his first steps following the crash to walking up the stairs, to finally ditching crutches, to the videos of his starting to run and lift weights, fans have seen him returning to his former physical self.
In his most recent performance, Rishabh Pant looked absolutely fine when he joined the Delhi Capitals for the IPL 2024 Auction in Dubai in December.

While, by his own admittance, he may not be back to 100% fitness, Rishabh Pant and Delhi Capitals have said that he will be playing the 2024 edition of the IPL.
One year on from his crash, Pant’s fans were once again reminded of the accident and its lasting consequences when the DC captain took to social media to share a picture of him training his legs.

In the picture caption “work in progress getting there,” Pant shared a picture of himself doing leg raises. The eyes of the fans immediately went to his right knee, which had a huge scar on it.
While that might have scared and concerned a few, the scar is a sign of his recovery and a reminder of arguably the worst day in his life.
In a video shared by the Delhi Capitals on Dec 30, his teammates and coaching staff claimed that Rishabh Pant is a very different person following the crash, one who now appreciates every aspect of his life. But more importantly for the fans, they announced that Rishabh will most likely lead DC in IPL 2024.
