Are India Favourites To Win The U19 World Cup?: The biennial ICC U19 Men’s World Cup will start on January 19, 2024, and will see India compete with 15 other teams to be crowned the champions at the highest level of junior cricket in the world.
India has been the most successful team in the tournament since its inception in 1998. In the 14 editions of this tournament so far, India has won a whopping five, with Australia winning three and Pakistan winning two.
The tournament has also given some of the greatest players in world cricket, as the likes of Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh, David Warner, and Rohit Sharma first catching a lot of eyes with their performances in this tournament.
More recently, this tournament has given us stars like Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Harry Brook, Shaheen Afridi, and Gerald Coetzee.

ICC U19 World Cup Groups
The 2024 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup will start on January 19th and end on February 11. The 16 teams in this tournament are divided into four groups of 4 teams each. These teams will compete against one another in a round-robin, with three teams from each group moving on to the next round. The groups in this tournament are as follows –

GROUP A – India, Bangladesh, Ireland, and the United States of America
GROUP B – England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland
GROUP C – Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Namibia
Group D – Pakistan, New Zealand, Nepal, and Afghanistan
The top three teams will move on to the Super Series, with Groups A and D, and Groups B and C combining. The top two teams from these groups will then make it to the semi-finals,

Where Can I Watch ICC U19 World Cup 2024?
The tournament was previously supposed to be held in Sri Lanka, but due to ICC’s ban on Sri Lankan cricket, it was shifted to South Africa. As for where these matches can be seen, Star Sports Network will telecast the ICC U19 World Cup LIVE in India, while Disney+ Hotstar will be the tournament’s OTT broadcaster.
