World Cup Group C Predictions: We are just days away from the biggest sporting extravaganza in the world, as the FIFA World Cup 2026 will kick off on Thursday, June 11 (June 12 IST). The competition will be hosted by the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico and will be the biggest edition of the tournament yet, with 48 teams participating.
These 48 teams, several of them having qualified for the World Cup for the first time, have been divided into 12 groups of four teams each.
Each side will go up against the other in a group once. After each team has played their three games, the nations that finish in the top two in their group will qualify for the Round of 32. Today, we will predict how Group C of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will shape up at the end of the group stage. This might be the tightest group in the competition, with Brazil, Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti being in it.
Brazil is the only nation to have played every edition of the FIFA World Cup. So it was no surprise that they made it into this one as well. However, the qualification was not smooth sailing for the South American giants. At one point during the CONMEBOL qualification, Brazil was out of the top six and in the inter-confederation playoff spot.

Morocco had a dominant showing in the CAF World Cup qualification. In Group E of the first round, alongside Cameroon, Libya, Angola, Mauritius, and Eswatini, the Moroccans dominated the much weaker opposition, won all eight games in the group, and comfortably qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The Scots had an impressive and short World Cup qualification. In the first round of the UEFA playoffs, they were in Group C alongside Denmark, Greece, and Belarus. Scotland topped that group over the Danes to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Finally, Haiti had a tough time going through the CONCACAF qualifiers. They skipped round 1 to go into the second round, where, in Group C alongside Curacao, Saint Lucia, Aruba, and Barbados, they finished second.
The third round saw them finish on top of a four-team Group C to qualify for the World Cup. While they have done exceedingly well to qualify for their first World Cup, Haiti is only in this competition due to the expanded number of teams from 32 to 48.

Like always, Brazil comes into the FIFA World Cup2 026 as one of the favourites to win it all. The five-time champions have one of the most star-studded squads in this World Cup. While the team will be captained by defender Marquinhos, Vinicius Junior is expected to be the star of the show. Goalkeeper Alisson, Barca attacker Raphinha, and Brazil’s highest goalscorer of all time, Neymar, will also be the highlights.
The Seleção have been in decent form in friendlies over the past few months. They beat Croatia, South Korea, and Egypt, drew against Tunisia, and lost to France and Japan.
Morocco shocked the world with their run to the semi-finals in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, becoming the first African team to reach that far in the competition. They have been in decent form over the last year. Despite losing on the field in the final of AFCON 2026, they were declared the winners months later. This team has beaten Paraguay and drawn against Norway in Ecuador in friendlies this year, some very strong teams.
This is a team filled to the brim with top-level players. Captained by Achraf Hakimi, other big names in this team include the likes of attacker Brahim Díaz, defender Noussair Mazraoui, and goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
This is Scotland’s first World Cup qualification this century and their ninth overall. Led by veteran defender Andy Robertson, midfielder Scott McTominay will be the star of this team. The British side has been in mixed form as of late. While they thrashed Curacao and Bolivia in friendlies, they were also beaten by stronger sides like Japan and the Ivory Coast.
Finally, Haiti is one of, if not the biggest, underdogs in this competition. No one expects them to do too well. However, being in the FIFA World Cup 2026 itself is a massive achievement for the Caribbean nation. They come into the World Cup in decent form with wins against the likes of Peru and New Zealand. They also drew against Iceland and lost a close one to Tunisia this year.
