Rishi Dhawan Stats: Indian bowling all-rounder Rishi Dhawan announced his retirement from Indian limited-overs cricket. This brings to an end an almost 18-year-long career of one of the most prolific domestic cricketers in India.

Today, we will examine his career stats across different formats and levels. Making his debut in 2007, Dhawan played 134 domestic and franchise-level T20s, taking 117 wickets at an average of 26.44 and scoring 1739 runs at an average of 30.
Out of those, 39 matches were played in the IPL over 10 years, in which he took 25 wickets and scored 210 runs while playing for sides like the Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Kolkata Knight Riders, winning the competition with MI in 2013.
The Himachal Pradesh-born cricketer, who represented his home state in domestic cricket, also played 134 List A games, taking 186 wickets at an average of 29.74 and scoring 2906 runs with an average of 38.23.

The last stop in any domestic cricket career is Class cricket in the Ranji Trophy. While playing domestic cricket in the whites with a red ball, Rishi Dhawan played 98 games, in which he took 353 wickets at an average of 27.22 and scored 4824 runs at an average of 42.31.
And in what is surely the highlight of his career, Rishi represented India four times in his career. He played three ODIs for the Indian Cricket Team in 2016 against Australia, taking only one wicket in those matches. He also played a T20I against Zimbabwe, in which he took one wicket as well.

“It’s with a heavy heart, even though I have no regrets, that I’d like to announce my retirement from Indian cricket (Limited over). It’s a sport that has defined my life for the past 20 years. This game has given me immeasurable joy and countless memories that would always stay very close to my heart,” he announced in a social media post.
“I want to take a moment to show my gratitude towards the opportunities that were given to me by Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA), Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Kolkata Knight Riders. I would like to thank all of my coaches, mentors, teammates, and support staff for the valuable contributions you have made to shaping me into the person I am today,” he went on to write.
“To all the fans, you have been the blood and soul of this game for me. Your cheers and chants will always be close to my heart. I will forever cherish the love and adulation that you have showered upon me. Thank you so much, because your support makes cricket truly special. The last but not the least is my family. It would not have been possible for me to achieve, live, or even dream of any of this without them. My unwavering support and love from them have truly driven me forward in life and in the game of cricket,” he concluded.
A retirement from limited-overs cricket suggests that he will still be available to play in first-class cricket, that being the Ranji Trophy for Himachal Pradesh. But that is not known at the moment.
