WWE NXT took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show continued on the road to Heatwave. Nattie Neidhart faced Thea Hail in a grudge match.
A four-way match was held to determine Rey Fenix’s next challenger for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship. Shiloh Hill faced Jackson Drake for a chance at the NXT Men’s North American Championship.
Lexis King defended the Speed Championship against Lucien Price. Kali Armstrong and Kelani Jordan also teamed up against the WrenQCC.

Cruz Montana Confronts Rey Fenix
Cruz Montana blamed Zilla Fatu for costing him the NXT Championship title shot. He said he is a proud Boricua from the Bronx. A crew member then said Zilla was not at the arena. Rey Fenix came out and said he wanted to know his next AAA Cruiserweight Championship challenger. Fenix also told Montana he was ready to fight him. Montana said they had fought each other in the indies, TNA, and AAA. He respected Fenix for representing Latino culture. Montana then said he would meet Zilla in the parking lot.
EK Prosper vs La Parka vs Romeo Moreno vs Tristan Angels
EK Prosper won the AAA Cruiserweight Championship #1 contender’s match. La Parka, Romeo Moreno, and Tristan Angels also battled for the title shot. The match featured quick exchanges and several dives outside the ring. Moreno hit a double dropkick on Prosper and Parka. Angels later hit an avalanche Spanish Fly on Moreno. Prosper broke up the pin with a Frog Splash. All four wrestlers continued trading big moves. Prosper eventually climbed to the top rope and hit a diving moonsault. He scored the pinfall and became the next challenger for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship.
Nattie Neidhart vs Thea Hail
Nattie Neidhart defeated Thea Hail by submission with the Sharpshooter. Hail fought back early and sent Nattie and her allies to the floor. She later hit an exploder suplex and a World’s Strongest Slam. Nattie answered with a spinebuster before targeting Thea’s leg. Hail reached for the ropes after the Sharpshooter was applied. Jaida Parker encouraged her from ringside, but Nattie dragged Thea back to the center. Hail eventually tapped out. After the match, Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons held Parker down. Nattie then applied the Sharpshooter to Thea again.
Lexis King (c) vs Lucien Price (WWE Speed Men’s Championship)
Lexis King retained the WWE Speed Men’s Championship against Lucien Price. Price attacked quickly and chased King around the ring. King repeatedly escaped to waste time on the clock. Price eventually landed a brutal chop that left King bleeding. He followed with a lariat, back elbow, headbutt, and Rock Bottom. With only seconds left, Uriah Connors and Charlie Dempsey distracted Price. King used the opening to hit the Coronation and scored the pinfall. After the match, King tried to have his allies attack Price. Bronco Nima arrived to make the save. Price then hugged Nima after they shook hands.
Grayson Waller, Cruz Montana, and Tony D’Angelo Segment
Grayson Waller claimed he should still be the NXT Championship #1 contender. He said Zilla Fatu cost him his opportunity last week. Tony D’Angelo then confronted Waller and defended his championship. Cruz Montana arrived and said Waller was the one who got pinned before Zilla attacked. Montana suggested settling their issue before challenging Tony. General manager Robert Stone then announced a major change. Tony, Waller, and Montana will compete in a triple threat match for the NXT Championship. Stone also said he will handle Zilla when he arrives.
Kali Armstrong & Kelani Jordan vs WrenQCC (Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair)
Kali Armstrong and Kelani Jordan defeated Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair. The match featured several fast tags and counters. Grey targeted Jordan’s injured ear during the match. Wren and Grey also worked together to control Armstrong. Grey later applied an ankle lock, but Armstrong escaped. Sinclair nearly finished Armstrong with Cattle Mutilation, but Jordan broke the hold. Grey was then sent into the steel steps. Armstrong hit a snap scoop power slam before finishing the match. She scored the pinfall with a flying shoulder block on Sinclair.
Jackson Drake vs Shiloh Hill (North American Championship #1 Contender’s Match)
Jackson Drake defeated Shiloh Hill to become the NXT Men’s North American Championship #1 contender. Hill controlled parts of the match with chops and a discus lariat. Drake fought back with a Pele kick, Busaiku knee, and big dropkick. Brad Baylor and Myka Lockwood interfered to help Drake. Referee Derek Sanders eventually ejected them from ringside. Hill then gained control and hit a huge shoulder block. As Hill prepared to continue, Naraku appeared and sprayed mist into his face. Drake took advantage and hit a 450 splash. He scored the pinfall and earned a title opportunity.
Zilla Fatu Enters NXT Championship Match at Heatwave
Zilla Fatu officially signed with NXT and made his debut as its newest superstar. He said joining WWE was a major moment and promised to prove himself through his talent. Fatu also warned everyone to get used to him causing problems. Grayson Waller arrived with security and confronted him from outside the ring. Cruz Montana also tried to confront Fatu but was held back. Robert Stone revealed that Fatu’s first match would be for the NXT Championship. Fatu then added himself to the existing triple threat match. The NXT Championship match at Heatwave is now a four-way.
