UEFA Euros 2024 Group Stage Announces: The group-stage draw for the UEFA Euros 2024 took place on December 2, 2023. We now almost have a full picture of all the teams participating in the tournament as the groups for the upcoming tournament were announced.
With each team in the European Football Association (UEFA) participating in the playoffs (except Russia), 21 teams have already confirmed their place in the tournament. As per the UEFA Euros 2024 Group Stage Announces, Each nation was divided into one of ten groups, with the top two finishing countries automatically qualifying. As the hosts, Germany qualifies for the tournament without the need to play any qualifiers. This makes the 21 teams who have made it to the tournament and were part of the group-stage draw.

The teams that have qualified for the tournament from each group are – Spain and Scotland from Group A; France and The Netherlands from Group B; England and Italy from Group C; Turkey and Croatia from Group D; Albania and Czech Republic from Group E; Belgium and Austria from Group F; Hungary and Serbia from Group G; Denmark and Slovenia from Group H; Romania and Switzerland from Group I: and finally, Portugal and Slovakia from Grou J.
Some of the notable absences from the teams to directly qualify are – Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard’s Norway, an on-the-rise Sweden and a war-stricken Ukraine (who are still in the qualifiers).

Who Are The Favourites To Win Euros 2024?
Group A consists of hometeam Germany, Scotland, Hungary, and Switzerland; Group B comprises Spain, and ageing Croatia, defending champions Italy, and Albania; Group C will see Slovenia, semi-finalists from last time Demark, Serbia, and finalists from the last edition England; Group D is a strong group with The Netherlands, defending World Cup runner-ups France, Austria, and the winner of Play-off A; Group E consists of Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, and the winner of Play-off B; and finally, Group F will see Turkey, Portugal, Czech Republic and the winner of Play-off C duke it out.
Apart from all the qualified teams, 12 other nations go into the final qualifying playoff based on their performance in the often-forgotten 2022-23 UEFA Nations League as the likes of Norway and Sweden are knocked out and will see teams lower than them in the qualifiers still having a chance to make it to the Euros.

Play-off A, the winner of which will play in Group D, will see Poland, Wales, Estonia, and Finland play a simple 3-match knockout tournament. Similarly, Play-off B will see Israel, Iceland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ukraine play for a place in Group E. And finally, Play-off C will see Georgia, Luxembourg, Greece, and Kazakhstan play for the final spot in Group F. The final of all Play-offs will take place on March 26, 2024, not one month away from the start of the tournament.
The tournament will see several big-time matches in the group stage itself. From Group B, a clash between old powers Spain and Italy on 20th June will see the two young teams play to possibly top the group, their matches with Croatia on 15th June and 24th June respectively will be looked forward to by fans.

From Group C, the match between Denmark and England on June 20 can be the sleeper hit of the tournament. As per UEFA Euros 2024 Group Stage Announces, As for Group D, the Netherlands vs. France match might be the biggest contest of the group stages.
As for the group of death, that crown will most definitely go to Group D. The likes of France and the Netherlands have legitimate claims towards the title. Austria can prove to be the genuine dark horse of the tournament, and so can teams like Poland and Wales, who will compete in Play-off A for a place in this group.
