UEFA Euros 2024 All Round Of 16 Matches: The group stage of the 2024 UEFA Euros has now concluded and 16 out of 24 teams have made it to the next round. Some of the biggest teams in Europe have made it to the Round of 16 as the knockout rounds of the tournament will now commence.

UEFA Euros 2024 All Round Of 16 Matches
1) Switzerland vs Italy
Switzerland finished second in Group A behind Germany. Their opening game of the competition was a 3-1 win over Hungary, which was followed by a 1–1 draw against Scotland and the same result against the Germans. Switzerland finished with five points in their group
Italy too finished second in their group, in Group B behind Spain. The defending champions kicked off their tournament with a 2-1 win over Albania. This was followed by a 1-0 loss to the Spaniards and a clutch 1-1 draw against Croatia. Italy finished with four points in their group.
While Switzerland has shown some fine football in this tournament, Italy has a wealth of talent in their squad. But if we go by how these teams have performed in this competition, Switzerland will be the favorites to win this one.
2) England vs Slovakia
England has had an underwhelming campaign in the UEFA Euro 2024 so far. One of the favorites to win this tournament, England won their first game in Group C 1-0 against Serbia. They then played two draws, 1-1 against Denmark and 0-0 against Slovenia. The five points they earned from these results were enough for them to top this group.
Slovakia held their own in a difficult group E. They kicked off the competition with a 1-1 draw with Romania. They then lost to Ukraine 2-1 before achieving a massive result, a 1-0 win over Belgium. Every team finished with four points in this group and Slovakia finished third due to a worse goal difference
Although Slovakia has shown a lot of grit and determination so far, they have one of the weakest squads among the teams in the Round of 16. Despite some poor showings, England’s sheer quality might be too much for the Slovaks.

3) Romania vs Netherlands
Romania shocked the world by topping Group E in the Euros. While each team finished on four points in that group, Romania topped because of having scored more goals. They kicked their tournament off in style with a 3-0 win over Ukraine, which was followed by a 2-0 loss to Belgium. A 1-1 draw against Slovakia was enough for Romania to top their group.
The Netherlands finished third in Group D, which was the group of death. The Dutch won their first game in Euros 2-1 against Poland, which was followed by a 0-0 draw against France. In their final group game, the Netherlands lost 3-2 to Austria and finished the group stage with four points.
Romania might have topped their group over Belgium, but the Netherlands has shown their quality in this competition, proving they are among the dark horse picks to win it all. By all standards, the Netherlands will be the favorite to win this game.

4) Austria vs Turkiye
Austria surprised everyone when they topped the ‘group of death’ Group D. While they lost their opening game to France, they bounced back in style with a 3-1 win over Poland. A 3-2 with over the Netherlands was enough to get six points for Austria as they topped their group.
Turkiye had a fine campaign in Group F. THeir first two games turned their campaign wildly as a 3-1 win over Georgia was followed by a 3-0 loss to Portugal. But a 2-1 win over a 10-man Czech Republic brought them to six points and second place in the group.
This will be one of the closest games of the tournament so far. But seeing how good Austria has been against bigger teams, it is difficult to not pick them for this game.

5) Germany vs Denmark
The hosts Germany have had a fine tournament so far. They played the first match of the UEFA Euro 2024 and registered a 5-1 win over Scotland. This was followed by a 2-1 win over Hungary. But, they were stunned by an early goal by Switzerland as the game ended 1-1. Seven Points were enough for Germany to Top Group A.
Denmark is one of the most feel-good teams in Europe. The semi-finalists from the last edition opened their competition with a 1-1 draw against Slovenia, which was followed by a 1-1 draw against England. A 0-0 draw against Serbia meant that they finished Group C with three points and second on the table due to a better EUFA qualifier ranking than Slovenia.
Despite how Denmark is one of the most popular teams among the neutrals, Germany is one of the best teams in this tournament and overwhelming favourites to win this game.
6) Spain vs Georgia
So far, Spain has been the best team in this tournament. The Group B winners opened their campaign with a 3-0 win over Croatia, which was followed by a 1-0 win over Italy and a 1-0 win over Spain. Spain is the only team to have won all their games so far.
Georgia is the most surprising inclusion in the Round of 18 in this competition. Their tournament started off the way it was expected, despite some promise on the field. A 3-1 loss to Turkiye and a 1-1 draw against the Czechs. But then, Georgia stunned by defeating an admittedly weakened Portugal 2-1 to finish the group stage third in their group with four points.
This is a true David vs Goliath match-up. And despite how fine Georgia looked against Portugal, Spain is the overwhelming favourite to win this one.

7) France vs Belgium
This is the heavyweight bout of this round. France will come into this one with a full-strength squad featuring Kylian Mbappe. Their 1-0 win over group winner Austria was followed by a 0-0 draw and a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands and Poland respectively. Five points were enough for them to finish second in Group D.
Belgium has not had fun in this tournament so far. They kicked off their campaign with a dismal 1-0 loss against Slovakia. They then made a comeback with a 2-0 win over Romania and finished Group E with a 0-0 draw against Ukraine to finish second in the group behind Romania with four points.
Belgium was one of the best teams in the world for about a decade in the 2012 and early 20s. Even then, France proved to be better than them. Now that Belgium’s golden generation is on the out, there is a very small chance that they can even be competitive against France.

8) Portugal vs Slovenia
Portugal made their way into the Round of 16 by topping Group F. They started their campaign with a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic, which was followed by a dominant 3-0 win over Turkiye. When they decided to rest some of their regular names, Portugal lost their last group game to Georgia. But six points were still enough for them to top their group.
As for Slovenia, they played three draws in Group C against England, Denmark, and Serbia to finish with three points and third in the group because of a lower UEFA qualifiers ranking than Denmark.
Portugal is one of the favourites to win it all this year and hence will be the favourite to win this game against a smaller side like Slovenia.
