Mike Hussey picks none other than their skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad, to be that exceptional player. Hussey said that Ruturaj is impeccable in placing the balls and finding the gaps in the field. The coach commented on the player’s batting as ‘smart.’
“Gaikwad is a brilliant batsman who times the ball perfectly and always seems to find the gaps in the field. His placement is impeccable, and I am asking him how does he places the ball so perfectly. Equally adept at playing spin and seam, he smacks the ball all around the ground. He knows when to attack and when to soak pressure. With his smart approach, he stays one step ahead of the bowlers. Gaikwad’s batting is a delight to watch. We are lucky to have such a skilled and strategic batsman on our team.”
