CM Punk Posts About Meeting Kofi Kingston: CM Punk’s return to WWE at last week’s Survivor Series might just have been the biggest wrestling news of 2023. After almost 10 years being away from the company, the former WWE Champion returned to the place he had sworn he would never step back into.
During his promo in the company at RAW after Survivor Series, Punk eluded to him being welcomed with ‘hugs and kisses’ backstage. Reports too suggested that most people, especially those who had worked with him all those years back, were happy to see him.

One of the people most likely to be quite happy to see his old fan would be Kofi Kingston, who has been Punk’s friend for a long time.

Having debuted on WWE’s ECW brand not a year apart in 2006-07, the two men became fast friends once they started travelling together. The two even won the WWE World Tag Team Championships back in 2008.
Following his return, CM Punk took to social media and shared a sorny, yet wholesome Instagram story about his reunion with old friend Kingston. He shared a panel from the comic book “Strange Fantasy Issue 13” from September 1954.

While seemingly unimportant to the message, the story of the comic sees a man named James Gorse plan on killing all those who have wronged him in life by throwing them in a vat of acid. It now remains to be seen who might be CM Punk’s first feud in WWE in nearly 10 years. It might just be against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who seemed quite upset following Punk’s return.
