The Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL) is a state-level T20 cricket tournament organised by the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS). The league was launched in 2024 after receiving approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It was created to give players from Chhattisgarh a competitive franchise cricket platform and greater exposure to selectors and IPL teams.

The Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League is a franchise-based T20 competition featuring teams representing different regions and cities of Chhattisgarh.
The league was designed to follow an IPL-style model, with teams built through player selection and auctions. Before the first season, the CSCS said each franchise would have between 16 and 20 players, with state-level and district-level cricketers included in the player pool.

2024 – Raipur Rhinos Win the Inaugural Title
The first CCPL season was played in June 2024. Six teams competed in the tournament, with all matches taking place at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur. The tournament featured 18 matches.
The six teams were Raipur Rhinos, Bilaspur Bulls, Rajnandgaon Panthers, Raigarh Lions, Surguja Tigers and Bastar Bisons.
Raipur Rhinos reached the final against Bilaspur Bulls. Bilaspur scored 156 runs, but Raipur chased down the target in 16.1 overs to win by eight wickets. Anuj Tiwari remained unbeaten on 65 from 42 balls, while Harsh Sharma scored an unbeaten 57 from 36 balls.
Raipur Rhinos therefore became the first CCPL champions.
Surguja Tigers batter Ashutosh Singh was the leading run-scorer of the inaugural season with 359 runs, while Raipur Rhinos bowler Ashish Chouhan finished with 15 wickets.
2025 – Raipur Rhinos Retain the Trophy
The second season was played from June 6 to June 15, 2025. Six teams again competed, with the league stage followed by knockout matches.
The final between Raipur Rhinos and Rajnandgaon Panthers was abandoned because of heavy rain. With no ball bowled, the two teams were declared joint champions.
Raipur Rhinos therefore shared the 2025 title with the Rajnandgaon Panthers. The result also meant that the Rhinos remained unbeaten in terms of CCPL championship history after winning the inaugural tournament in 2024.
Amandeep Khare captained Raipur Rhinos, while Ajay Mandal led Rajnandgaon Panthers. Both players received the winners’ trophy during the closing ceremony.
2026 – Bilaspur Bulls Win Their First Title
The third CCPL season began on June 3, 2026, with six teams again taking part. The league stage ran through June 10, followed by the semi-finals and final.
The six teams were Raipur Rhinos, Bilaspur Bulls, Rajnandgaon Panthers, Surguja Tigers, Bastar Bisons and Raigarh Lions. The tournament continued to use the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur as its main venue.
Raigarh Lions reached their first CCPL final after defeating defending champions Raipur Rhinos by nine wickets in the second semi-final.
In the final, Bilaspur Bulls defeated Raigarh Lions by seven wickets. Raigarh Lions scored 160/8 in 20 overs, while Bilaspur Bulls chased the target by reaching 164/3 in 16.3 overs. Bharat Gondwani took three wickets for Bilaspur and was named Player of the Match.
The victory gave the Bilaspur Bulls their first CCPL title.

CCPL Format
The CCPL uses a round-robin league stage followed by knockout matches.
In the 2026 season, each of the six teams faced the other five teams during the league stage. The top four teams then progressed to the knockout phase, which included an eliminator and qualifier match before the final.
The first two seasons also featured 18 matches, with the six teams playing each other once before the knockout stage.
CCPL Venues
The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur has been the main home of the CCPL.
The stadium hosted all matches during the inaugural season in 2024, and the same venue continued to host the competition in 2025 and 2026.
