A T20 tournament called the Jammu & Kashmir Premier League was scheduled in Srinagar in 2023.
However, the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association issued an important notice on August 26, 2023, stating that the tournament was neither approved nor recognised by the BCCI or JKCA. The association also advised players registered with JKCA not to participate.
Because of this official warning, the 2023 tournament should not be treated as an official JKCA Premier League season.
2025–26 – BIG JKPL Begins
The more recent competition was announced as the BIG Jammu Kashmir Premier League 2025–26 and was organised by 92.7 BIG FM.
The tournament featured eight teams and began at the University of Jammu Ground. The participating teams were Royal Goodwill Cricket Club, Kanwal Tigers, Game Changers, Tiles and Bath Cricket Club, Valley Stars Ganderbal, Team Nice Gems, Power Panthers and Sultan Warriors.
The tournament provided a platform for players from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir while also giving fans a locally based T20 competition.
2026 – Royal Goodwill Cricket Club Win the Title
The 2025–26 season reached its final on January 6, 2026, at the University of Jammu Ground.
Valley Stars Ganderbal batted first and scored 236/6 in 20 overs. Captain Nadeem Dar scored 58 from 21 balls, while Ravi Thakur made 57.
Royal Goodwill Cricket Club then produced a remarkable chase. They reached 241/5 in only 19 overs to win by five wickets and claim the championship.
Jehangir Lone played a major role in the final. He took three wickets before scoring 57 from only 20 balls, including seven sixes, and was named Player of the Match. Aasif Manzoor finished unbeaten on 84 from 33 balls, while Aadil Reshi contributed 46 from 28 balls.
The final produced more than 470 runs and saw 20 sixes from Royal Goodwill during their chase.
