In 2008 CSK made its first entry in the final but it fell short of victory. However they made a strong comeback in 2010 after winning the battle against Mumbai Indians, CSK won their first IPL trophy. In the same year Kings won the Champions League T20 trophy as well. Chennai Super Kings won the CLT20 for a second time in 2014.
