IPL Commentator Says Sanju Was Not Out: Though Delhi Capitals won the match against Rajasthan Royals, they were overshadowed by Rajasthan Royals’ Skipper Sanju Samson. Samson, who scored an incredible knock of 86 from just 46 balls, had nearly snatched the match from DC until the TV umpire’s controversial decision sent him out. This cost RR the match.

The umpires’ decision invited criticism from pundits and fans alike. One of the major critics was the commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has been calling the IPL 2024 matches for Star Sports.
Sidhu didn’t hesitate to call out the umpire and blatantly said that the RR skipper was not out. The former cricketer also asked the umpires not to use technology if they ‘can’t make proper use of it’.
“Sanju Samson was not out as the fielder touched the rope twice. The third umpire should have seen it from different angles. Stop using technology if you can’t make proper use of it, Sidhu said on Star Sports.
Sidhu also backed the majority opinion that Sanju’s dismissal changed the course of the game. He exposed the umpires, saying that a view from the side angle clearly shows the foot touching the rope twice.
“Sanju Samson’s decision changed the game. There could be a difference of opinion, but if you check the replays from the side angle, the foot touched the boundary rope twice,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said.
