CSK vs PBKS Match Highlights And Report-IPL: In one of the most clinical displays from a visiting team at Chepauk, Punjab Kings thumped Chennai Super Kings by seven wickets to keep their playoff ambition burning. CSK, who won their first three home matches this season, have now lost two of the last three.

CSK vs PBKS Match Highlights And Report-IPL
Sam Curran, the PBKS captain, won the toss and elected to bowl first. CSK have been one of the worst batting teams in powerplay this season, and tonight was further proof as Gaikwad and Rahane managed 37 runs in the first 5 overs. Rahane did crack three fours in the sixth over as CSK finished the powerplay at 55/0.
However, this start meant that Daryl Mitchell, who hit a fifty in the previous game, was demoted. After the powerplay, Harpreet and Rahul Chahar applied a strong choke. Harpreet dented CSK with wickets of Rahane (29 off 24) and Shivam Dube, who bagged a golden duck, in a single over. In the next over, Chahar had Jadeja lbw.
Harpreet finished four consecutive overs for 2/17, and Chahar’s one over was held by Curran for the 19th over, in which he bowled Moeen Ali. Chahar finished with 2/16. Both PBKS spinners didn’t concede a single boundary in their eight overs.
CSK captain Gaikwad batted till the 18th over but wasn’t fluent; he scored 62 runs off 48 balls. Young Sameer Rizvi scored 21 (23) and veteran MS Dhoni scored 14 (11). CSK ended with 162, a well-below-par score considering the significant dew at Chepauk.
