The Eliminators of the ongoing PL season kicked off the playoff section of the league on Monday, February 26. These matches saw third-placed Dabang Delhi take on sixth-placed Patna Pirates in Eliminator 1, and fourth-placed Gujarat Giants take on the fifth-placed Haryana Steelers in Eliminator 2.
Eliminator 1 saw somewhat of an upset, as the last-placed team in the playoff Patna Pirates, who finished sixth in the league table, won an ultra-tight game 27-25 against Dabang Delhi.

The match saw both teams going neck-to-neck for the whole ordeal. Patna Pirates giving an all-out to the Delhi-based franchise in the last minute looked to seal the fate of the contest, but the match was not over till the final raid, where Patna’s Sandeep Kumar took one point to give his team another entry into the semi-finals.
On the other hand, Eliminator 2 was a story of domination, as Haryana Steelers demolished the Gujarat Giants 42-25 in what would be a cathartic win for Haryana’s coach Manpreet Singh, who played a massive role in Gujarat’s success as their coach for a few years.
The standout performers for the Steelers were Vinay, who completed a Super 10 and scored 11 raid points, and Mohit, who completed his High 5 and scored 7 tackle points.
Both of these teams have made it to the semi-finals, which will be played on Wednesday, February 28 in the Gachbowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. Winners of Eliminator 1 Patna Pirates will face the team that finished first in the league table, Puneri Paltan. As for Haryana Steelers, they will face the team that finished second, defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers.
