1) Rovman Powell – ₹ 7.4 Crore
The first player to be sold on auction day, Rajasthan Royals fulfilled their biggest need in the first few minutes when they bought the West Indian middle-order batter who has been one of the best power hitters in world cricket in recent times. In the year 2023, Powell has a strike rate of over 170 and an average of almost 40 in T20Is.

2) Shubham Dubey – ₹ 5.80 Crore
A strong Vidharba side’s highest run scorer in the 2023 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he scored 221 runs in seven innings in the tournament with a strike rate of 188.

3) Tom Kohler-Cadmore – ₹ 40 Lakh
The English wicket-keeper batter is a logical replacement for Jos Buttler, who will miss the latter section of IPL 2024 due to national duty. Cohler-Cadmore has been a journeyman player who has an extensive first-class career and has played franchise cricket around the world.

4) Abid Mushtaq – ₹ 20 Lakh
The experienced Jammu & Kashmir left-arm orthodox bowler is somewhat of a sensation in first-class cricket. Picked up at base price by the Royals, Mushtaq has 71 wickets in 20 matches with a solid average of under 20.
5) Nandre Burger – ₹ 50 Lakh
As per the All Players Bought By RR In IPL Auction 2024, One of the last buys of the day, Nandre Burger, the South African left-arm seamer is showing off his skills in South Africa’s ongoing ODI series against India.
He showcased his ability to move the ball in the second ODI against India, where he ended with the figures of 3/30 just in his second-ever ODI match. He likely is an injury replacement for another left-arm seamer in the team, Trent Boult.
