He opined that giving Prasidh Krishna the ball in the 18th and 20th overs was not a wise decision considering his earlier overs were expensive.
Axar Patel bowled the 19th over. Although Prasidh Krishna was expensive, he was given the opportunity to bowl the 18th and 20th overs. Surprisingly, India did not use a sixth bowler during the game. Despite Prasidh Krishna conceding 68 runs, he was still given the chance to bowl because the team did not attempt to use a sixth bowler.
Also, not using Axar Patel until the 19th over, even though he has been in great form, is also questionable, according to Aakash Sharma.
“It appears that Axar was performing exceptionally well in the match, but you chose not to use him until the 19th over. I am unsure why you made that decision. It seems to be a significant miscalculation on your part, as you did not use a sixth bowler and instead opted for a spinner to bowl the 19th over. Additionally, you had Prasidh Krishna bowl the 18th and 20th overs, which resulted in your team being hit quite a bit.”
India will face Australia in the 4th T20I at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Raipur, on Friday, December 1.
