Recently, Pakistan pace legend Waqar Younis took to Twitter and shared his opinion on the matter. According to him, the use of two new balls is killing the art of reverse swing in the limited-over game. “I agree with Waqae Younis. some changes have to be made. Sachin Tendulkar had the privilege to bat with two balls and under the current power play rules in our era, his runs and centuries would have doubled,” tweeted Jayasuriya.

The response to this tweet was, understandably, mixed. While most people agreed with Sanath in the replies, others felt that the Sri Lankan had downplayed the achievements of modern-day batters.
In the 462 ODI matches he played for India, Sachin Tendulkar scored 18426 runs. He is miles ahead of anyone else in the list of highest ODI run-getters. Second on the list is Kumar Sangakkara, who has 14234 runs. Virat Kohli has the most runs for an active player in the format with 13794 runs.
