LA Knight Confronts Roman Reigns After SummerSlam Victory
Roman Reigns opened Raw by celebrating his SummerSlam win over Seth Rollins. The World Heavyweight Champion reminded fans that he won the Royal Rumble, captured the title at WrestleMania, and stayed on top through the summer. He also praised Rollins before letting the Iowa crowd sing Seth’s theme. LA Knight then interrupted and congratulated Roman, but called him a fraud. Knight demanded a one-on-one title match, saying Roman still owed him one. Reigns refused and told Knight to get to the back of the line. Knight fired back with insults and declared himself the uncrowned world champion.
“All Ego” Ethan Page vs Je’Von Evans
Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page had a fast-paced match with momentum swinging both ways. Evans impressed with several high-flying attacks, including a huge dive into the timekeeper’s area. Page focused on Evans’ back and tried to cheat by using the ropes, but the referee caught him. Evans avoided another trick, landed a pump kick, and finished the match with the OG Cutter for the win. After the match, Big Colin Cassady made his return. He attacked Evans, hit him with a big boot, and ended the assault with the East River Crossing.
Liv Morgan Celebrates SummerSlam Victory With Judgment Day
Liv Morgan and the Judgment Day came to the ring to celebrate their SummerSlam success. Liv called herself the greatest champion of all time after defeating IYO SKY. She praised IYO for stepping up but said no other challenger was ready for her. Liv then declared she would become the longest-reigning WWE Women’s World Champion in history. She also celebrated Raquel Rodriguez’s WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship win and praised Roxanne Perez. Liv ended by saying Roxanne would defeat Sol Ruca and prove that Judgment Day rules Monday Night Raw.
Roxanne! Perez vs Sol Ruca
Roxanne Perez and Sol Ruca had a competitive match before Judgment Day got involved. Perez controlled parts of the match, but Ruca answered with strong offense and a kickflip moonsault to stay in control. Back from the break, both women traded heavy strikes before Sol blocked Pop Rox and kept the pressure on. Raquel Rodriguez distracted Ruca from the apron, and Liv Morgan tripped her in front of the referee. Sol won by disqualification. After the match, Rodriguez hit Sol with a big boot before Perez landed Pop Rox and Raquel finished the attack with a one-arm powerbomb.
Oba Femi Sends Powerful Message After Beating Brock Lesnar
Oba Femi addressed the crowd after his Hell in a Cell victory over Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. He said the brutal match earned both men respect for each other. Oba admitted he first believed Brock attacked him after WrestleMania out of jealousy, but now understood it was a test. He said he proved himself by surviving one of the greatest combat athletes ever. Femi promised to lead WWE’s next generation and warned anyone who challenged him would answer to the Ruler. As he left, Bron Breakker and Oba shared an intense staredown before The Vision headed to the ring.
Chad Gable & Penta el Zero M vs Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh)
Chad Gable celebrated his Intercontinental Championship win and thanked the fans for supporting him through the highs and lows of his career. He also praised Penta for earning his respect after their SummerSlam match. The celebration ended when Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh interrupted and claimed Judgment Day would soon take Gable’s title. That led to a tag team match. In the closing moments, Penta hit Dominik with the title belt behind the referee’s back, allowing Gable to finish him with Chaos Theory for the win.
“Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu vs Royce Keys (Street Fight)
Jacob Fatu defeated Royce Keys in a brutal Street Fight after both men used tables, chairs and kendo sticks. Keys pushed Fatu to the limit with several huge power moves, but Fatu kept fighting back. The match ended when Jacob locked in the Tongan Death Grip, forcing the referee to stop the contest. After the bell, Fatu refused to end the attack. He applied the hold again and crushed Keys with a chair in the corner. Roman Reigns then appeared on the stage and gave Fatu a nod of approval. Afterward, Rey Mysterio met Reigns backstage for a conversation.
