Grayson Waller Returns to NXT
Grayson Waller returned to NXT and delivered a passionate promo about his career. He said his progress had stalled despite past success on the main roster and blamed it on being overlooked. Waller claimed he was done playing supporting roles and now wanted the NXT Championship. He criticized the current NXT men’s division, calling it weak and saying many wrestlers lacked charisma and ambition. Waller also mocked several top stars and challenged anyone to stop him. Even after his microphone was cut off, he continued speaking into a camera and declared that he was ready to take over NXT.
Izzy Dame vs Lizzy Rain
Lizzy Rain defeated Izzy Dame after outside interference affected the closing moments. Dame controlled much of the match with her power, while Rain answered with quick strikes and several near falls. Both women traded big moves, but neither could finish the match. Near the end, Niko Vance climbed onto the apron to distract Dame. Shawn Spears then appeared with a steel chair, taking Vance’s attention away. As Dame looked toward the distraction, Rain took advantage and hit Thunderstruck to score the pinfall victory.
Kam Hendrix vs Myles Borne (c) (NXT Men’s North American Championship)
Myles Borne retained the NXT North American Championship by defeating Kam Hendrix. The win also earned Borne and Tavion Heights an NXT Tag Team Championship match against Swipe Right. Hendrix targeted Borne’s arm throughout the match and came close to winning with several big moves. Borne fought through the injury and mounted a strong comeback. Outside activity briefly distracted both competitors, but Borne stayed focused. He hit his Borne Again finisher to secure the pinfall victory. After the match, Mason Rook attacked Hendrix before Vanity Project brawled with No Quarter Catch Crew, but Borne and Heights cleared the ring.
Birth Right (Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Uriah Connors) vs OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price)
Birth Right defeated OTM after taking advantage of a distraction late in the match. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price used their power to control much of the action, overwhelming Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Uriah Connors. Birth Right stayed in the fight with quick tags and double-team attacks. Late in the match, Los Garza came to ringside and distracted Bronco Nima. With Nima occupied, Birth Right isolated Lucien Price and hit a double-team move. Lorenzo then pinned Price to secure the victory. After the match, Bronco checked on his frustrated tag team partner.
Shiloh Hill vs Tristan Angels
Shiloh Hill defeated Tristan Angels after a hard-fought match. Hill controlled the early action with his power, but Angels fought back by targeting him inside and outside the ring. Both men traded near falls as the match became more physical. Angels tried to cheat by using the ropes for leverage during a pin, but the referee caught him. Hill regained control with a pop-up elbow before stopping Angels’ final comeback. He then hit a diving neckbreaker to score the pinfall and earn the victory.
Grayson Waller Crashes Cruz Montana’s NXT Debut
Montana made his NXT debut and spoke about overcoming a difficult childhood in New York and rebuilding his career. He thanked TNA for helping him but said he was now focused on becoming NXT Champion. Tony D’Angelo interrupted and welcomed Montana, but made it clear the championship was not available while he was champion. As Montana responded, Waller attacked him from behind. Waller then confronted D’Angelo, but Montana got back up. Waller avoided Montana’s attack, causing Tony to take the hit instead. The show ended with all three men involved in the confrontation.
