WWE and TKO representatives secretly attended a recent episode of AEW Dynamite. Wrestling insider Bryan Alvarez reported the news on F4W Online. He said TKO reps were at the show but were not comped.
The visit happened just a couple of weeks before AEW’s big All In pay-per-view. It appears that WWE and TKO employees wanted to see what the live AEW experience is like as a direct competitor. Alvarez confirmed that Tony Khan and AEW were not aware of this happening.
It is not known which employees attended. Alvarez said they were TKO representatives from the ownership side, not from WWE’s creative team. They were likely there to examine the show as a viewer on the business side.
WWE has a history of sending employees to check out other promotions. Longtime executive Bruce Prichard has talked about WWE doing this with WCW events in the past. The move suggests WWE is showing respect to AEW by keeping an eye on their progression.
