Virender Sehwag Slams Batting Order of MSD: Whenever MS Dhoni walks to the pitch to bat, the whole stadium roars, regardless of which team the fans are supporting. There are a lot of instances where the players on the pitch had to cover up their ears due to the high decibels echoing in the arenas.
The legendary Chennai batter makes sure he keeps the fans entertained with the big hits in the last few balls he gets. While the fans worry about not getting enough glimpses of Thala as he comes too late, pundits demand his early entrance to bat as it would give CSK some quick runs to build up better totals than they have been doing lately. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag says he is done discussing it, as it’s not possible to change the mind of MS Dhoni unless he decides it.
Virender Sehwag Slams Batting Order of MSD
Speaking on Star Sports, Sehwag doesn’t understand why MS is not promoting himself up the order in batting.
“I have already spoken about his batting slot. There is no point in discussing it, as he will not change. We all know he should bat early in the innings, but I don’t understand why he is not promoting himself in the batting order,” Sehwag said.
The former player says he doesn’t want to talk about it.
“I haven’t spoken to him, and there is no one who can confirm about the ongoing rumours about his knee injury. I don’t want to talk about it. Ruturaj Gaikwad is the only person who can reveal the real reason behind Dhoni’s refusal to promote himself,” Sehwag added.
Dhoni Went Out for the Golden Duck
In their last match against Punjab Kings, batting first, CSK were having difficulties keeping the runs flowing. Eventually, the Chennai-based franchise had to pack their pads at a fragile score of 169. Though they eventually won the match by throwing down PBKS for 139 runs, it was widely opined that MS Dhoni could come a bit earlier to produce some big hits that would have been helpful to build a much higher score. But the MS came to bat at 9 and got out on the first ball. This turned off both the fans and pundits alike.
