Super 8 schedule of T20 World Cup 2024: The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is set to enter its second stage, which is the Super 8 round. The tournament started on June 1, with the USA and West Indies co-hosting the competition.
This is the first time that the USA is hosting a major ICC tournament of the senior men’s team. It is great news for the organizers that both co-hosts have got into the Super 8 round.
However, all the matches remaining in the tournament – Super 8 matches, followed by the semi-finals and final – will be played only in the West Indies. The USA leg of the tournament is done and dusted.
While there are some expected teams in the Super 8 round, such as Australia, India, England, and South Africa, a few other big teams like Pakistan, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka have failed to go past the group stage.
The Super 8 round will start on June 19 and end on June 24. The two semi-finals are slated for June 26 and 27, while the final will be played on June 29.

What are the groups of Super 8 round in T20 World Cup 2024?
Group 1: India, Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh
Group 2: USA, England, West Indies, South Africa
For the unversed, the Super 8 round seedings of these teams were already done by the ICC before the start of the tournament. That is, the teams were already assigned group numbers, and hence their standings in their group round – be it at the top of the table or in the second position – were irrelevant with regards to their seedings in the Super 8 round.
For example, India were already assigned A1 seeding and Australia B2 and both were placed together in Group 1 of the Super 8 round. So if India and Australia qualified for the Super 8 round, they were certain to be placed in the same group, according to the pre-determined seedings done by the organizers.
