Team India go into the Super 8 round of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024 undefeated in the group stage. Rohit Sharma’s side were the toppers in Group A in the group round and will be looking to carry forward the form and momentum to the Super 8 round.
In their first three matches in Group A, all in New York, the Men In Blue emerged victorious, while their last game in Florida was abandoned due to wet outfield.
India started their campaign with a comprehensive victory over Ireland. India bundled Ireland for 96 and chased it down comfortably.
Then they had an epic encounter against Pakistan. India managed to post 119, and Pakistan, at one point, looked set to chase it down when they needed 48 runs in 48 balls with 8 wickets in hand. However, India’s bowlers produced a spectacular collective performance to win the game by six runs, with Jasprit Bumrah returning with figures of 3/14.
Against USA, India found themselves in a precarious position of 10/2 while chasing 111. Suryakumar Yadav, though, then ensured India got over the line safely.
India’s match against Canada in Florida was abandoned without the toss.

Which teams are India group in Super 8 round?
After topping their group in the first round, India proceeded to the Super 8 round. According to the pre-determined seedings of the teams, India are in Group 1 along with Australia, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
India will play their three Super 8 round matches in three different venues: Antigua, Barbados and St Lucia. All three matches will be played at 8:00 PM IST.

The top two teams from each of the two groups will proceed to the semi-finals.
