Sunil Gavaskar On Rishabh Pant Playing T20 WC: Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar hopes that BCCI will pick Rishabh Pant for the Indian squad in the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup and the Test series in Australia later this year.
Pant, who has been away from the game for 15 months due to a gruesome car crash in December 2022, made his return to a cricket pitch in IPL 2024 as the captain of the Delhi Capitals. Although he did struggle a bit in the first few games, it seems that the 26-year-old has returned back to his old self.
Not only Pant is looking good behind the stumps, but he has also returned to his old batting form after scoring back-to-back 50s in the last two matches.

Despite losing DC’s most recent match against Kolkata Knight Riders by a whopping 106 runs, the wicketkeep[er-batter was the pick of the batsman in Delhi’s innings, scoring a quickfire 55-off-25.
Rishabh was a regular in the India squad across all formats before his accident. Now that the T20 World Cup is less than a couple of months away, Pant has staked his claim for a return to the side for the tournament.
