SRH vs RR Match Highlights And Report-IPL: Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, two of the strongest teams in the tournament, played out an epic last-ball thriller in Hyderabad, with the home side prevailing by only one run.
With 2 runs needed on the last ball against a rampant Rovman Powell, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a low full toss that Powell missed and was given out lbw. Powell took a review, but the ball was crashing into the stumps; although even if he had managed to overturn the decision, the run he ran wouldn’t have counted and SRH still would’ve won the match.
The match saw four sparkling half-centuries from Travis Head, Nitish Reddy, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Riyan Parag, but it was Bhuvneshwar who ran away with the Player of the Match award for his three-wicket haul and calmness in the last over.

Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first. Travis Head got a life on the first ball as Parag dropped a catch at point. The pitch wasn’t easy early on to play shots: Head scored 17 (17) in the powerplay and lost Abhishek and Anmolpreet at the other end.
Right after the powerplay, though, Head tore into Chahal for two fours and two sixes. Chahal later took a beating from Reddy and Klaasen, and the leg-spinner finished with 0/62, his worst IPL bowling figures. Head was bowled by Avesh for 58 (44).
But he was outshined by Reddy, who was 12 (12) before taking on the RR bowlers for plenty of boundaries, including two sixes and two fours in a single over from Chahal. Reddy reached his fifty in 30 balls before launching Ashwin for two sixes and Avesh for a four and a six. Reddy remained unbeaten on 76 (42) and Klaasen walloped 42 (19) as SRH finished on 201.

Bhuvneshwar gave SRH a dream start with the wickets of Buttler and Samson for ducks in the first over, showcasing his prodigious swing movement. After that, though, RR youngsters Jaiswal and Parag put on a stunning partnership of 134 (78). The pair showcased the fearlessness of youth in the face of losing early wickets.
RR reached 100 runs at the 10-over mark. In the 11th over, both brought up their respective half-centuries, Jaiswal in 30 balls and Parag in 31 balls. The partnership was broken in the 14th over by Natarajan when he castled Jaiswal for 67 (40). A couple of overs later, Cummins had Parag for 77 (49), caught at long-on.
When Natarajan had Hetmyer in the 18th over and Cummins dismissed Jurel at the start of the 19th, SRH seemed just ahead. Cummins was excellent on the first five balls of the 19th over, conceding only 1 run while bowling three dots to Powell; however, Powell sliced the last ball of the over for a six.
With 13 runs needed off the last over, Powell and Ashwin collected 11 runs from the first five deliveries through a boundary and some quick running of twos. On the last ball, Bhuvneshwar bowled a risky full toss on stumps and got away with it as Powell missed it and was out lbw.
Score summary: Sunrisers Hyderabad 201/3 in 20 overs (Nitish Reddy 76, Avesh Khan 2/39); Rajasthan Royals 200/7 in 20 overs (Riyan Parag 77, Bhuvneshwar Kumar 3/41). SRH defeated RR by 1 run.
