WWE Smackdown Highlights
Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair Clash
Rhea Ripley came out looking for Jade Cargill after last week’s attack. She said Jade only made her angrier and offered her a rematch for the WWE Women’s Championship at Clash in Italy.
Charlotte Flair interrupted alongside Alexa Bliss and shifted focus to their upcoming trios match against Jade, B-FAB, and Michin. Charlotte questioned why Rhea was absent last week, while Ripley pushed back and reminded her that Charlotte previously claimed she did not need her help.
The tension kept building when Rhea pointed out Alexa seemed to take most of the damage last week. Charlotte accused Ripley of trying to create problems between her and Bliss. Alexa tried to calm both sides down.
Fatal Influence then interrupted. Jacy Jayne mocked the SmackDown women’s division for falling apart and claimed her group had taken advantage of the chaos to rise quickly.
Charlotte ended the argument by challenging any two members of Fatal Influence to face her and Alexa Bliss later that night. Jacy accepted immediately.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Talla Tonga
Shinsuke Nakamura tried using speed and strikes early. Talla dominated with heavy punches, headbutts, and hard whips into the corner.
Nakamura fought back after the break with submission attempts and his corner knee strike. He looked close to turning the match around, but Solo Sikoa distracted him at ringside.
While dealing with Solo, Nakamura ran straight into Talla Tonga, who finished him with a chokeslam for the win.
After the match, Solo prepared to hit Nakamura with the Samoan Spike, but Tama Tonga surprisingly stopped him for a moment. Damian Priest ran down with a chair before they could finish the attack. Priest stood beside Nakamura and dared the group to fight, forcing the MFTs to back away.
Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn Tensions Explode
Cody Rhodes arrived looking for GUNTHER, but Nick Aldis told him the contract signing was already handled and asked Cody to stay out of it.
Sami Zayn then approached Cody and offered help against GUNTHER, saying he understands what it is like to deal with him. Cody politely turned the offer down, which clearly annoyed Sami.
Zayn then complained to Aldis about not having anything scheduled for the show. Aldis admitted he planned to give Sami the night off, but Sami took that badly and started ranting about Cody being treated like the “golden boy.”
Cody stayed calm and responded by offering Sami exactly what he wanted — a match on SmackDown. He challenged Sami Zayn to face him later that night.
Lash Legend vs Tiffany Stratton (c) (United States Championship Open Challenge)
Tiffany Stratton started strong with quick technical work and a dropkick. But Lash Legend quickly took over with hip tosses, shoulder blocks, and a hard slam to the floor. Chelsea Green tried to help Tiffany during the break, which briefly slowed Lash down.
After the break, Lash kept dominating with a sleeper hold and corner offense. Tiffany fought back with a Stunner and high-impact counters. Lash almost finished it with a power sequence, but interference from Nia Jax disrupted Tiffany’s momentum. Chelsea Green then distracted Lash at a key moment.
Tiffany used the opening to roll Lash up for a quick pin. Tiffany Stratton wins by pinfall and retains the WWE Women’s United States Championship. After the match, Chelsea Green celebrated alongside a frustrated Tiffany while acting like she helped win the match.
Carmelo Hayes vs Trick Williams
Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams started fast with counters, dropkicks, and early nearfalls. Trick controlled most of the pace with a chinlock and heavy strikes. Carmelo fought back with a jawbreaker, La Mistica, and a Codebreaker for a nearfall.
The match got chaotic near the end when Ricky Saints appeared at ringside and caused a distraction with the referee. Trick used the opening to land Trick Shot and win the match.
Charlotte Flair & Rhea Ripley vs Fatal Influence
Charlotte Flair and Fallon Henley started with quick grappling. Flair escaped early control and shifted the pace with strikes and a headscissors.
Rhea Ripley entered and overpowered Lainey Reid with a fallaway slam. Fatal Influence took over during the break using double teams and a chop block to slow Charlotte down.
Iinterference and miscommunication led to Charlotte accidentally taking a superkick meant for Rhea. Ripley hit Riptide on Reid, then Charlotte tagged in and finished the match with Natural Selection.
Cody Rhodes vs Sami Zayn
Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn started with sportsmanship. Sami got the early edge with an arm drag sequence and quick strikes. Cody stayed composed and kept offering breaks in the action.
Cody fought back with a Cody Cutter and Beautiful Disaster kick. But both men kept countering each other’s finishers in a back-and-forth closing stretch. GUNTHER then attacked Cody from behind and put him in the Gojira Clutch. Despite the chaos, Cody recovered and hit Cross Rhodes to win the match.
After the match, GUNTHER continued the assault and stood tall over Cody with the title. Sami Zayn chose not to get involved and walked away as GUNTHER dominated the scene.
