Roman Reigns To Return To WWE Soon: The return of Roman Reigns has been one of the biggest questions on WWE TV over the past few months. It now seems that the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion might be very close to returning to our screens.
The TTribal Chief first won the Universal Champion at Payback 2020. He then defended the title on WrestleMania 37 in 2021. At WrestleMania 38, over a year and a half after first winning the title, he became a double champion, defeating Brock Lesnar for his WWE Championship in the main event.
At WrestleMania 39, he defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event before taking his reign past the mythical 1000-day mark. Finally, he dropped his title to Rhodes in the main event of Night Two of WrestleMania XL (40).
Since losing his title back in April, Reigns has been absent from WWE TV. In his absence, Solo Sikoa filled in the spot of the head of The Bloodline. He first brought a debuting Tama Tonga to the faction before kicking out Jimmy Uso.
Then, at Backlash in Lyon, France, Tonga Loa made his first appearance in WWE as he joined the faction. Finally, a few weeks before Money in the Bank, Jacob Fatu became the fourth member of the New Bloodline.
Just a week after this, Sikoa dubbed himself the new Tribal Chief and kicked Paul Heyman out of the stable with a brutal attack on the 58-year-old.
With Solo having taken Roman Reigns’ place as the Head of the Table, fans’s demands for the latter’s return are louder than ever. On every week’s SmackDown, the fans shower the New Bloodline with the chants of ‘We Want Roman’.
Roman Reigns To Return To WWE Soon
It now seems that we are closing in on the return of the former leader of The Bloodline, as a new report by PWInsider notes that Roman is set to make his return at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, which will take place on August 3 at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.
The report mentions that there were plans to bring the 39-year-old back a couple of weeks before SummerSlam. This, it seems, is no longer the plan.
Reigns’ return might also mean the returns of Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman by his side, who were attacked and kicked out of The Bloodline.
On this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes was attacked by the New Bloodline. While Randy Orton came out to help the champ, Jacob Fatu, like the last few weeks, proved to be the difference-maker and laid out the two main eventers.
