With this win, Real Madrid now has two wins and a loss in three games in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League and are ninth in the table. They are also second in La Liga with 24 points in 10 games behind arch-rivals FC Barcelona. As for Dortmund, they are fifth in the UCL with two wins and a loss and are seventh in the Bundesliga with 13 points in seven matches.
