RCB vs DC Match Highlights And Report-IPL: Royal Challengers Bengaluru continue to keep alive the hopes of playoff qualification as they registered their fifth win on a trot. On Sunday night, at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Faf du Plessis’ team downed Delhi Capitals, who were being led by Axar Patel instead of the suspended Rishabh Pant, by a significant margin of 47 runs.
With 12 points in their account and one match to go, RCB’s upcoming match against CSK could well be a knockout showdown, though both of them are dependent on the results of SRH and LSG as well.
Rajat Patidar hit another half-century—his 5th fifty in the last 7 innings—but once again failed to go past 55, helping RCB reach 187 before the bowlers bundled DC for 140.

RCB were put in to bat first by Axar Patel, and the hosts got off to a rattling start with Virat Kohli pulling Ishant Sharma for a six. Kohli and du Plessis took 13 off Khaleel, but the RCB skipper was dismissed by Mukesh. Kohli and Ishant continued their exciting battle. The lanky pacer got hit for a four and a six but managed to find Kohli’s outside edge. Kohli scored 27 (13).
Patidar wasted no time and got going with a couple of fours and a six to end the powerplay at 61/2. After the powerplay, a flurry of sixes came from the bats of Patidar and Will Jacks. They were aided by sloppy fielding from Delhi, who dropped four catches.
Patidar raced to a 29-ball half-century but soon fell to Rasikh Salam. Jacks was dismissed by Kuldeep for 41 (29); however, the wrist-spinner was smoked for three sixes in his last over by Green and Lomror.
RCB were 169/4 at the end of the 17th over but could add only 18 more runs in the final three overs as DC stormed back with five wickets.

The start of DC’s innings was eventual. Jake Fraser-McGurk blasted spinner Swapnil Singh for a six, but David Warner got caught at deep mid-wicket. Fraser-McGurk got on his boundary-hitting spree but lost Abishek Porel at the other end to Dayal.
The young Aussie opener suffered terrible luck when Shai Hope played a straight drive, and it hit Dayal’s left hand only to ricochet on the non-striker’s end, where Fraser-McGurk was found outside his crease. He was gone for 21 (8), and RCB were truly on top. From that point, given RCB’s momentum in their winning streak, it felt like it was only a matter of time before they sealed the game.
Axar Patel scored 57 off 39, and Hope scored 29 off 23 to delay the inevitable. With the required rate rising, they fell by the 16th over, and RCB clinched another victory to keep their dream alive.
Score summary: Royal Challengers Bengaluru 187/9 in 20 overs (Rajat Patidar 52, Rasikh Salam 2/23); Delhi Capitals 140/10 in 19.1 overs (Axar Patel 57, Yash Dayal 3/20). RCB defeated DC by 47 runs.
