QUE vs KAR Match Highlights And Report-PSL: It was an unexpected and rare low-scoring PSL game as Hasan Ali’s four-wicket haul destroyed the Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi. The 7-wicket win for the Karachi Kings has kept them well and truly alive in the hunt for a playoff spot in PSL 2024.
Although Karachi are still in the fifth spot in the points table with 6 points, they are closer to the team in the fourth spot (Islamabad with 7 points) than the sixth-placed Lahore, who have 3 points and are eliminated.
It was a day game in Rawalpindi, so bowlers were expected to do well. But to such an extent that Quetta would be bowled out for only 118 was not anticipated, especially when Quetta have batters like Jason Roy, Rilee Rossouw, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Sherfane Rutherford. But the Gladiators were blown away by the storm of Hasan Ali, the senior Pakistani pacer, who is now eyeing a comeback to the T20I team with the T20 World Cup 2024 scheduled for June.
Karachi Kings captain Shan Masood won the toss and elected to bowl first, and the decision proved to do wonders for his team. Jason Roy was dismissed by Muzarabani, before Hasan struck twice with the scalps of Saud Shakeel and Khawaja Nafay. Zahid Mahmood and Muzarabani took the big wickets of Rossouw and Rutherford, while Hasan returned to castle lower-order hitters Akeal Hosein and Mohammad Hasnain.
