PES vs ISL Match Highlights And Report-PSL: Imad Wasim and Haider Ali’s epic 6th wicket partnership of 98* (49) propelled Islamabad United to the PSL 2024 final with a five-wicket win over Peshawar Zalmi in Eliminator 2 in Karachi.
At one point, United looked out of the chase of 186 when they were 50/4 and then 91/5. But Imad and Haider had other ideas to take their side over the line.
Shadab Khan’s side will now face Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans in the final on Monday at the National Stadium. Islamabad will be aiming to win their third PSL title, while Multan their second. Multan lost the last two PSL finals and would be hoping to get over the line this time.

Peshawar Zalmi vs Islamabad United Eliminator 2 PSL Report
Shadab won the toss and elected to field first. Peshawar Zalmi got off to a cracking start with left-hander Saim Ayub smoking the Islamabad bowlers all around the park. Babar Azam, though, was slow once again and got out for 25 (22) before he could launch his shots.
Mohammad Haris upped the ante further with 40 (25). Zalmi got the desired finish, with Tom Kohler-Cadmore scoring 18 (9) and Aamer Jamal scoring 17* (9).
Zalmi’s total of 185 looked enough, and more than enough when Islamabad got off to a terrible start by losing four wickets for 50 runs in the powerplay. After his fine show with the bat, Saim Ayub took the limelight with the ball with the wickets of Alex Hales and Agha Salman. Captain Shadab Khan was bowled by spinner Mehran Mumtaz.
The dismissals of Martin Guptill, who scored 34, and Azam Khan, who scored 22 before being castled by Lukw Wood, made it seem that the match was all but in Zalmi’s pocket.
However, then began the fireworks show from Imad and Haider. The pair hammered 11 fours and five sixes together in their jaw-dropping partnership. They rattled off the last 77 required runs in only six overs to take Islamabad over the line. Wasim scored 59* (40), and Haider scored 52* (29).

Imad Wasim bagged a second consecutive Player of the Match award. While in Eliminator 1, he starred with the ball, in Eliminator 2, it was his bat that did the heavy lifting.
