PBKS vs SRH Match Highlights And Report-IPL: 20-year-old Nitish Reddy, who had played in only 8 T20s and scored 106 at a strike rate of less than 120 heading into this fixture against the Punjab Kings, lit up the stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh, with his fire-cracking knock of 64 runs in 37 balls that helped SRH post 182 while no other batsman went past 25.
PBKS were pushed back behind in the chase and were almost out of it at 114/6 in the 16th over before Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma formed a stunning seventh-wicket partnership to bring the target within touching distance, but the pair failed to get over the line in the last couple of balls. Now, in five games each, SRH have three wins and PBKS have three losses.

Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and elected to bowl first. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma reeled off six fours and a six in the opening burst, before Arshdeep Singh got on a roll to dismiss Head and Aiden Markram. Rahul Tripathi and Heinrich Klaasen, both dismissed by Harshal Patel, fell for cheap scores.
SRH found a new hero in Nitish Reddy, a youngster from Andhra Pradesh. Reddy walloped five sixes and four boundaries in his knock of 64 (37). And with Abdul Samad’s 25 (12) to support, SRH touched 182.

In reply, Punjab got off to a terrible start that kept spiraling down. Bhuvneshwar bowled a maiden over and picked the scalps of Dhawan and Prabhsimran Singh after Pat Cummins had knocked over Ashes rival Jonny Bairstow for a duck.
Sam Curran (29 off 22), Sikandar Raza (28 off 22), and Jitesh Sharma (19 off 11) rebuilt Punjab’s chase, but once the trio was dismissed, with Punjab’s score reading 114/6, it looked bleak for the hosts.
However, Shashank Singh, Punjab’s hero against Gujarat, and Ashutosh led an admirable fightback with their big hits in their stand of 66* (27). It came down to 29 runs needed in the last over, and tasked was Unadkat by Cummins. It was one of the most bizarre last-overs you will have seen.
It included three dropped catches, two of which were parried over the boundary for sixes, three sixes, and three wides. Yet, Unadkat and SRH managed to escape by a slender margin of 2 runs.
Score Summary: Sunrisers Hyderabad 182/9 in 20 overs (Nitish Reddy 64, Arshdeep Singh 4/29); Punjab Kings 180/6 in 20 overs (Shashank Singh 46, Bhuvneshwar Kumar 2/32). SRH defeated PBKS by 2 runs.
