Recently, Dhoni’s former teammate at CSK Ambati Rayudu discussed the legendary ex-captain’s popularity in Chennai. According to Rayudu, the team comes in second for CSK supporters after MS Dhoni. Rayudu recalls the experience of not getting cheered by the crowd even when other players hit a boundary or a six. He also spills some beans about the frustration that players have regarding this.
“In the past few years, Jadeja and I have seen that the crowd is dead silent even after we smack a boundary or a six. When I say this, I genuinely think that CSK supporters are first and foremost MS Dhoni supporters. Even Jadeja becomes frustrated, but there’s nothing he could do,” said Rayudu.
