Unfortunately, Bairstow is still recovering from an injury he sustained in September, which has ruled him out of the tournament. This will be Short’s first IPL season, and he comes with an impressive record, having been named Player of the Tournament in the recent edition of the Big Bash League (BBL). Short scored 458 runs and took 11 wickets with his off-spin. He has been signed for his base price of INR 20 lakh.
