Commentator Sanjay Manjrekar had a talk on ESPNcricinfo on whether Prasidh Krishna will be there in the starting XI for the second test. He said that if it was the time when Virat Kohli and Sanjay Manjrekar were a part of Indian management, there is no way Prasidh would have opted for the second match.
“If Mukesh Kumar plays, I don’t think fans will have a problem. They will be looking at his bowling in the nets and think it is fair for Prasidh Krishna because the current management believes in giving a fair run to the players. The earlier team management of Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri would have been ruthless. Virat and Ravi would have dropped the pacer after his performance,”
But Manjrekar doesn’t think the situation will go that way. He believes that Prasidh might get one more chance from the Rohit-Dravid duo to prove himself.
“Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma might give him another chance”, he said.
