Litton Das Donates Prize Money to Flood Victims: Bangladesh star wicketkeeper batter Litton Das announced that he would donate the prize money for Bangladesh’s historic win against Pakistan to the flood-inflicted people back home.
Bangladesh recently made a momentous win against Pakistan, beating the home side for the first time in history in a Test match.
Batting first, Pakistan had put forward a challenging total of 448 with the power of Mohammed Rizwan (171*/236) and Saud Shakeel’s (141/161) century. Replying that Bangladesh outclassed Pakistan bowlers as well as their score by building 565 runs, thanks to Mushfiqur Rahim’s 191(341) runs and Shadman Islam’s 93(183) runs.
In the second innings, Bangladesh bowlers rose to the occasion and dismantled Pakistan batters to make them all out for 146 runs, making Bangladesh’s target 30 runs.
The visitors reached the winning shore without losing a wicket.

After this historic win, Litton Das won the award for the energetic player of the match. The player then announced that he would donate the whole amount to the flood victims in his country.
“We’ve defeated Pakistan in a Test match for the first time, and I’m thrilled and proud to have contributed to this victory. However, due to the flood situation in our country, I can’t fully enjoy this win; my heart remains with those back home.
“I’m announcing that I will donate the prize money I received as the Energetic Player of the Match to the flood victims. To everyone back home, please come forward and help as much as you can. The greater the challenge, the stronger our unity. Bangladesh will not lose,” he added.
