Jasprit Bumrah Yorker Strikes the Stumps: Happiness and relief went uphill in the Mumbai Indians camp as their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah was cleared to play in the rest of the IPL 2025 matches. The best bowler in the world announced his comeback in style by striking the stumps with an incredible yorker in nets at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
After getting injured, Bumrah has been out of cricket since mid-way through the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The player was fit during the onset of IPL 2025, but BCCI decided to give him more rest to avoid future injuries. Bumrah was also expected to sit out of MI’s upcoming match against RCB. But the news that came out on Saturday was a ‘rain in the desert’ for the MI team and their fans as the majestic bowers’ arrival was announced.
Bumrah practiced at the nets on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium. The player looked sharp and bowled some amazing spells. In a video shared by Mumbai Indians on X, Bumrah was seen dismantling the stumps with his outstanding delivery.

Mumbai Indians’ IPL spell this season has been a ‘run on the desert’ as the 5-time champions could only bag one out of he 4 matches they played. They sit in 8th on the table with just 2 points. They started the league with a loss to their arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings by 4 wickets. That match was captained by Suryakumar Yadav as their skipper Hardik Pandya was out due to a one match ban. But Hardik’s comeback in the second match made too little difference as MI stumbled onto the canvas when they exchanged punches with his former team Gujarat Giants.
Their only win was at the end of the last month against the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders. After that, they lost again, and this time it was the Lucknow Super Giants who pushed MI off the track.
The MI vs RCB match is going to be a firecracker one as the star-studded game will enthrall the fans at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday (April 7).
