Irfan Pathan suggests RCB sign Mujeeb Ur Rahman: Former Indian pace bowler Irfan Pathan advised Royal Challengers Bangalore to acquire a mystery spinner ‘who is good with the new ball’. As RCB released their spinner Hasaranga for 10.5 crores, it’s unsure that they will be able to re-acquire him in the auction. So Irfan Pathan gave them a plan B if plan A, which is re-signing Hasaranga, doesn’t work out.

“If you look at their squad, with Cameron Green coming in, they have their biggest headache sorted. The middle muddle is sorted. They will have to sort out their bowling. If they can get Hasaranga back at a cheaper price, well and good.”

Irfan thinks that it will be a better idea if RCB signs Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The pacer called him a mystery baller and complimented him for being good at the new ball.
“If not, they can go for guys like Mujeeb. Mujeeb is a guy who can actually take the pitch away from the equation. He is basically a mystery bowler who can bowl with the new ball, and he can be pretty handy in thoseo sorts of tough conditions for bowlers.”
