“The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during their TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match 15 against the Lucknow Super Giants at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on Monday,” – the IPL said in a statement.
“As it was the team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, captain Faf Du Plessis Fined For Slow Over-Rate fined was Rs 12 lakhs,” – it added.

Avesh Khan, the pacer of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has been reprimanded for violating the Code of Conduct.
In the final delivery of the game, Avesh, who was the No.11 batter, completed the winning run and was observed throwing his helmet on the ground.
The right-handed pacer accepted the sanction after admitting to level 1 offence 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct. It is important to note that for Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the decision of the Match Referee is final and binding.
