IND vs AFG 3rd T20I 3 Players To Watch Out For: The third and final T20I between India and Afghanistan might just be the final chance for some players to extend their tenure in the national side before the T20 World Cup later this year. While there will be many more T20I series these teams will play in the next 6 months, the selection to the squad for those series is not assured without performances.

Here are IND vs AFG 3rd T20I 3 Players To Watch Out For
1) Sanju Samson
Sanju Samson has gained a reputation for being quite unlucky when it comes to selection into the national side. And statistically, that is a semi-valid argument. While he does have an average of over 55 in the 16 ODIs he has played, that average falls to under 20 in T20Is
In the IPL, however, Sanju has consistently been a great top-order batter for the Rajasthan Royals (RR). He also captained the side to the final of IPL 2022. His average in the franchise T20 league has been around 30, while his strike rate has been around 150 for the past 5 years.
In order to IND vs AFG 3rd T20I 3 Players To Watch Out For, Upon, Sanju is also an excellent wicketkeeper, arguably the best in the nation.
All that being said, the 29-year-old needs a standout performance in this series to cement his place in the side.

2) Rahmanullah Gurbaz
Rahmanullah Gurbaz is the newest Afghani cricketer to cut his teeth in franchise cricket around the world. Having played T20s all over the world, he finally got to showcase his talents in front of an Indian audience in IPL 2023, where he opened for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and even scored a couple of half-centuries.
As for international cricket, Gurbaz had an alright 2023. In a year with the ODI World Cup, the opening batter had an average of 32.8 and scored 2 centuries.
As far as T20s are concerned, the 22-year-old scored 278 runs in 10 matches with a strike rate of 136. So in all, an average year.
But Rahmanullah Gurbaz is one of the few batters with an ‘X-factor’. One of the best stroke players coming out of Afghanistan, the keeper-batter has the ability to turn up at any point in any match.
