Hardik Pandya Tweets for Fans After the Loss: Following a third consecutive loss at the start of the IPL 2024 season, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has assured the fans that his team will continue to fight and won’t ever give up.
The five-time champion Mumbai Indians are the only team to not record a single win and sit at the bottom of the points table. After losses in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, MI suffered a loss at their home ground, Wankhede Stadium, against the Rajasthan Royals. And it was quite an embarrassing loss.
MI managed to post only 125 runs on the board after being sent in by Sanju Samson. Then, courtesy of Riyan Parag’s half-century, RR chased the target down in 15.3 overs.
Hardik Pandya was heavily booed by the Wankhede crowd at the toss when he came to bat, and when he dropped a tough chance of Jos Buttler. However, Pandya did manage to get some cheers for himself as he cracked six boundaries in his innings of 34 (21) after MI were left reeling at 20/4.

The day after the loss to RR, Hardik Pandya took to his social media handles to send a note of positivity to the Mumbai Indians fans. The 30-year-old all-rounder promised the fans that the team will not give up and will continue fighting to bounce back.
Hardik tweeted,
“If there’s one thing you should know about this team, we never give up. We’ll keep fighting, we’ll keep going.”
Even though MI have lost their three matches so far, they did put up a strong fight in all, even when they were behind. MI lost by only 6 runs against the Gujarat Titans.
Against SRH, they were on course for a record run-chase of 278 runs before losing track after 12 overs. Against RR, despite having a small total to defend, the MI bowlers had RR in a bit of a pickle at 48/3 before Parag and Ashwin steadied the chase.
While the boos for Hardik are likely to continue, the only way for him to regain the trust and love of the fans is to perform well individually and get MI going on the points table.
