CSK vs KKR Match Highlights And Report-IPL: After three wins in a row, KKR suffered their first loss of IPL 2024, while CSK, who had lost their last two matches on the road, returned to Chepauk and recorded their third home victory.
Ravindra Jadeja turned KKR’s innings on its head with a three-wicket haul. Tushar Deshpande, who is often trolled on social media, also took three big wickets, both with the new ball and the old ball. On the chase of an under-par target of 138, CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad batted through for his first big score of the season.

Gaikwad won the toss and elected to field first. Deshpande dismissed Phil Salt on the first ball of the game, the opener giving a straight catch to Jadeja at point with his cut shot. The in-form pair of Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi flexed their muscles in their second-wicket partnership of 56 (36).
But, right after the powerplay, Jadeja got the ball rolling with a momentum-shifting three-wicket haul. He had Raghuvanshi LBW on the first ball of the 7th over, and four balls later, Narine was caught at long-on. In his next over, Jadeja cramped Venkatesh Iyer for room, and the left-hander was caught at deep mid-wicket.
While the KKR captain Shreyas Iyer anchored at one end, he lost Ramandeep Singh, bowled by Theekshana, and Rinku Singh, bowled by Deshpande, at the other end. The biggest blow to KKR was handed by Deshpande when Andre Russell mistimed his slog and was caught at long-on, dismissed for a run-a-ball 10. Iyer scored 34 (32) and KKR were restricted to 137.

Chasing 138, Rachin Ravindra creamed three fours in his 15 (8) to give CSK a head-start before being dismissed by Vaibhav Arora. But with a small target to chase, Gaikwad and Daryl Mitchell played majorly risk-averse shots in their partnership of 70 (55).
Narine castled Mitchell for 25 (19), but any hopes of a KKR comeback were demolished by three monstrous sixes from Shivam Dube, who scored 28 (18). MS Dhoni came up in the order with the single digits needed to win.
He took a single to a loud cheer from the crowd, and Gaikwad finished the chase to seal a 7-wicket win. The CSK captain remained not out on 67 (58).
Score summary: Kolkata Knight Riders 137/9 in 20 overs (Shreyas Iyer 34, Ravindra Jadeja 3/18); Chennai Super Kings 141/3 in 17.4 overs (Ruturaj Gaikwad 67, Vaibhav Arora 2/28). CSK defeated KKR by 7 wickets.
