Celebrities Wish MS Dhoni On His 44th Birthday: Today is former Indian Cricket Team captain MS Dhoni’s birthday. The man lovingly known as ‘Captain Cool’ turns 44 today. And on the special day of such a special man, many celebrities, from the world of cricket and other fields, took to social media to wish him well.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni needs no introduction to people in India or any cricket fans around the world. While he is one of the best wicketkeeper batters in history, that is not even the dominating part of his legacy, as Dhoni is also one of the greatest captains in the history of the sport.
‘Thala’, as he is known for the time he has spent at the Chennai Super Kings, has captained a national team in the most matches across formats out of anyone. In Tests, ODIs, and T20Is combined, he led the Indian Cricket Team in 332 matches, winning 178 of them with a winning percentage of 53.61.
Alongside Ricky Ponting, Dhoni is considered the greatest captain in cricket, especially in the 21st century. However, Ponting did not win the T20 World Cup with Australia. Meanwhile, MS won the T20 World Cup in 2007 as his first captaincy assignment, was the skipper of the 2011 ODI WC-winning team, and also led the team to a victory in the 2013 Champions Trophy, making him the only captain to lead a national team to three different ICC limited-overs trophies.
And while his contributions to Test cricket as a player and a captain are undermined today, mostly because of the dominant Test era India had under Virat Kohli, it was under Dhoni when the Men in Blue reached the No. 1 ranking in the longest format of the game for the first time in history in December 2009.

From being the Player of the Match in the 2011 World Cup to winning five IPLs as CSK captain, there are countless moments in the long legacy of MS Dhoni that make him one of the most important cricketers of this century. So naturally, as the former skipper celebrates his birthday today, wishes from all over will come in for him.

It is not only the cricketing world that is wishing the 44-year-old on his special day, but celebrities and known personalities from other fields as well are sending in their messages –
As the day goes on, more wishes are bound to come in. Meanwhile, a flood of wishes and messages is coming in from fans, wishing their hero and idol on his birthday.
Despite being 44 years old, MS Dhoni is yet to completely retire from cricket. Still looking sharp as ever, he has lost a lot of his edge on the field. Having already retired from international cricket five years ago, he still plays yearly in the IPL, even leading the Super Kings to a title in 2023. He will very likely return for IPL 2026 as well.
