Portugal Football Team star Bernardo Silva took to social media to troll his national teammate Bruno Fernandes following their victory against Slovenia in the Round of 16 of the EUFA Euros 2024 via penalties.
Bernardo and Bruno are two of the best midfielders in the world. On one hand, there is Silva, who is one of the finest central midfielders on the planet and plays for Manchester City. On the other hand, Manchester United captain Fernandes is one of the most highly creative attacking midfielders.
Both of these midfielders are representing Portugal in the ongoing Euro 2024. Not only that, they are the team’s two most senior players after Cristiano Ronaldo and the age-less defender Pepe.

Portugal vs Slovenia Round of 16 clash was not expected to be very close by most fans. Portugal, who, despite some uninspired tactics used in recent times, still has one of the most talented squads in world football, should have comfortably beaten a team like Slovenia.
But that did not happen. In one of the most cagey affairs of this tournament, Portugal, with Ronaldo in front, failed to score even a single goal. The same was the story in extra time, and the match went to a penalty shootout.
After CR7 coveted the first penalty, Bruno and Bernardo were given the second and third penalties, which they converted. With Portuguese goalkeeper Diego Costa saving all three penalties, the Iberian side won the game and will now face France in the quarterfinal.
