Bayern Munich Star Might Leave This Summer: Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has come out to praise Real Madrid and FC Barcelona amid rumours about him leaving the club this summer.
Joining Bayrn in 2015 from RB Leipzig. Kimmich has been the team’s number-one right-back for years at this point. Ever since joining the club, the German defensive playmaker has won the Bundesliga every season. He has also won several German Cups and even the UEFA Champions League in 2020.
The 29-year-old’s contract with Bayern Munich will expire in the summer of 2025, and no contract extension has been signed as of yet.

If the two parties cannot come to a settlement soon, the club will be looking to sell Kimmich in the summer of 2024 rather than letting him go away for free when his contract expires.
This was also the first season where Kimmich did not win the Bundesliga with Munich, as it was Bayer Leverkusen who lifted the trophy for the first time.

Some of the clubs that have been linked with the German baller are Spanish giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
Bayern Munich will take on Real Madrid in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League, with the first leg to be played on May 1 (IST).
Before the tie, Joshua spoke with Spanish outlet Madrid Zone and shed some light on his future with Bayern Munich. While he did praise Los Blancos and the Blaugrana, he also claimed that his current focus is on Bayern Munich.
“I am not thinking about playing in Spain at the moment. I will talk to Bayern first, but of course, Real Madrid and Barcelona are amazing clubs with great histories,”
said Joshua Kimmich.
Already out of the German DFB-Pokal and having lost the Bundesliga, the only major trophy up for grabs for Bayern Munich is the Champions League.
